Broadmoor Golf Club is a Resort, 54 hole golf course facility located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The facility has three 18-hole golf courses. They are: The Broadmoor East Course, The Broadmoor West Course, and The Broadmoor Mountain Course.
Broadmoor is the largest and certainly one of the finest golf experiences in Colorado. If you love great golf, ambiance, challenge, and are a student of golf architecture, the Broadmoor may be the answer to your wildest dreams.
The first of the three courses, The Broadmoor East Course opened for play in 1918. The course was designed by Donald Ross. The second course to open was The Broadmoor West Course. The West course opened its first 9 in 1950. The second 9 was completed 15 years later in 1965. Both 9s were designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. who also did some redesigning of the East Course. The team of Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed The Broadmoor Mountain Course. The Mountain Course opened for play in 1976.
The Broadmoor East Course
Broadmoor East first opened for play in 1918. This championship golf course was designed by Donald Ross. At an elevation of 6,400 feet, Broadmoor East was the highest golf course in the United States when first built.
Today the course is a combination of the original Donald Ross design mixed with holes designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in 1965.
#1-6 - Donald Ross
#7-15 - Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
#16-18 - Donald Ross
Broadmoor East has been home to many major tournaments, including the 1959 U.S. Amateur, which was Jack Nicklaus' first major win, the 1964 U.S. Amateur and more recently the 1995 U.S. Women's Open, which was Annika Sorenstam's first major title. It also served as the host course for the 2008 United States Senior Open Championship.
The East Course is known for its wide fairways and large greens. With tree-lined fairways and amazing mountain views, The Broadmoor East Course is ranked among the best in the country.
With large trees that can alter your shots, and putting greens that can be difficult to read, the best tip for this course is to remember that putts break away from the mountains.
Broadmoor East Course is one of only 12 North American and Caribbean golf courses to receive a five-star rating by Golf Digest. The venue was also ranked number one in customer service among resorts by Golf Digest.
Broadmoor East is a long par 72 course. From the back (Blue) tees the course plays to 7,318 yards. The White tees are set at 6,651 yards, The Gold tees are at 5,840 yards and The Red tees measure 5,730 yards.

Excellent golf course and you can't beat the scenery unless you are lucky enough to make it on to Castle Pines.
